While, Richa Chadha was portrayed as a helpless yet strong woman who dealt with the guilt of being responsible for her boyfriend’s death and yet couldn’t overcome the love she had for him.
Wake Up Sid
Yet another coming-age Hindi movie to watch movies online, Wake Up Sid starring Ranbir Kapoor and Konkona Sen Sharma as Sid and Aisha is a young and ferocious movie. Sid is a rich brat who moves in with Aisha, his friend, after being thrown out of house for poor grades. While both start living in together, the sparks between them were subtly dealt with and the confusion we millennials face was epitomized.
Akaash Vani
Though this Hindi movie starts on a typical note with a young couple in college heads over heels in love and promising to get hitched as soon as the college finishes. Owing to parental pressure, the girl succumbed and ended up marrying by her parents’ choice while the guy decided to stay single. Akaash and Vani end up getting united by the end when the girl decided to break the shackles of society and stand against domestic abuse.
Shuddh Desi Romance
This Hindi movie boldly and euphorically deals with the relationship dynamics of a couple in love, living in together and fighting against the society’s notions of a ‘being married’ label. A boy runs from his marriage altar and end up getting attracted and living in together with a girl he barely met. Again the girl runs from the mandap when they were about to get married and the heartbroken guy gets united with the first girl again.
When almost on the verge of getting hitched this time, the second girl comes back in his life! This Hindi movie epitomizes the confusion and commitment phobic our millennial generation I when it comes to love and relationships.
